All About Kristine:
The dogs are, obviously, my primary hobby. I haven't found a dog sport yet that I don't enjoy! We have competed (and earned awards) in many sports, including obedience, agility, rally obedience, canine musical freestyle and even herding! We are now learning more about flyball, another fun dog sport!
I enjoy writing stories about my dogs and the funny things they do, especially the funny things they do to embarrass me in the obedience and agility rings!
You can read some of my previously published stories HERE.
I am an experienced human cytogeneticist, having worked in two different cytogenetics labs after earning my M.S. degree in biology.
Some of the published research I was a part of while I worked in both the clinical and research labs at Oregon Health Sciences University:
| Clinical outcomes of four patients with
microdeletion in the long arm of chromosome 2 (American Journal of
Medical Genetics) The impact of imprinting: Prader-Willi syndrome resulting from chromosome translocation, recombination, and nondisjunction (American Journal of Human Genetics) An atypical case of fragile X syndrome caused by a deletion that includes the FMR1 gene (American Journal of Human Genetics) |
